Ceiling Mounted Rigid Lifeline System for Pharmaceutical Company

Problem: This St. Louis area pharmaceutical company needed (2) overhead rail fall protection systems to protect transport personnel as they accessed the top of trailers to facilitate offload of chemicals at the facility terminal.

Solution: The customer's existing canopy structure was found to be structurally inadequate to accommodate this request, however EFP's in-house Structural P. E. personally examined the canopy and proposed structural reinforcements be added to it to strengthen the structure and allow for the addition of the proposed fall protection systems. The resultant outcome now provides the fall protection safety needed for transport drivers, while keeping the existing canopy structure in place. This is another example of EFP ability to creatively accommodate customer requests, even when it may seem to be un-doable.
