Rigid Rail Fall Protection System for Water Treatment Plant

Problem: This water treatment plant needed a solution that would keep workers safe as they accessed the tops of treatment tanks, but the existing structures left little room to work with.

Solution: The team at EFP engineered and installed this Rigid Rail Fall Protection System. It features an overhead horizontal lifeline that is suspended by a pair of free-standing davit arms. Due to the limited space around the treatment tanks, the bases needed to be a particular size in order for the system to fit. We also installed a ceiling-mounted Gorbel Tether Track Bridge System in another area of the facility. This turn-key fall protection solution provides workers with the safety they need as they move about the facility accessing the tops of these treatment tanks and other equipment.

Engineered Fall Protection (EFP) installs custom rigid rail fall protection systems, like the overhead horizontal lifeline in this case study, for a variety of different plants, warehouses, and facilities. We serve clients across the United States, Canada, and Mexico and are especially focused in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, Tennessee, Kentucky, Iowa, Oklahoma, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Florida.
